Ammeters are not common gauges found in local Pep Boys or AutoZone stores and I guess they feel like theirs was a lot more valuable than this one. It is exactly the same one they offered to special order for $65.+. Oh well, I feel lucky and imagine that! The item works perfectly.

I have been using Sunpro gauges for quite some time now, and I will have to say I'm very pleased with both the quality, functionality, and price of their entire line. This ammeter in particular functions perfectly and includes very complete instructions. One of the best parts about the instructions is that they include many different iterations of automobile wiring diagrams, making it much easier to identify and install it in many different vehicles. I wish the lighting was a bit brighter, but the ease of installation makes up for this, and I always have the option of installing LED lights into the back of the gauge to brighten it up.

Bought this meter to test the current draw of my diesel engine's glow plugs. Worked perfectly and found the dead one (no current draw). That was my goal.
The meter itself is attractive and illuminated, if that's desired. Great value for money.
