Customer Reviews: GPS Garmin 265wt and assessories April 1, 2010 Jeanie M. Wallace (Shalimar, FL, US) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I have tested my 265wt in the car, walking, and biking and it is such an improvement over the one that came with my car. I used it once on my bicycle by going to the most remote spot in our town and turned it on deep in some woods. It directed me to the front door of my residence and informed me I was home. Others I have had would just inform me that I "was in the area" and that"there would be no further directions". This is fine if you are in familiar area, but not if you are traveling alone in a strange city. The bike ride was funny since I received some strange looks from people who were walking when this deep male voice was coming from my bicycle telling me to turn left or turn right.
AC charger works as advertised, haven't used the rest. June 27, 2010 David P. Swanson 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this bundle for the AC charger, which I knew would not be included with the GPS. That, and because the description of the Nuvi 265WT (which I bought in the same order) seemed vague about whether a USB cable was included. Turns out the Nuvi does come with a USB cable (and a car charger). So if you're considering buying this because you think you'll need a USB cable, don't bother. I suppose if the 12V in-car charger that came with the unit dies or gets lost someday, the car charger will become useful. That's assuming I store it where I can find it. The 12V charger that came with the unit seems far more rugged than this one, by the way.
Bottom line: The one part I've tried, the AC adapter, works just dandy. It may even do double duty charging up an MP3 player, since the Nuvi end of it is just a garden-variety "mini-D" USB plug). But they don't advertise it for that function, so try it at your own risk!
Accessories for Garmin Nuvi 365WT June 1, 2010 highwayman (Huntsville,TX) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Accessories are great when I received the correct ones. Company furnishing them sent the wrong charger claiming their inventory was mixed up. This results in poor customer service as far as I am concerned. They then told me to "through the wrong unit away."
Auto charger for Garmin GPS device June 16, 2010 Harold A. Sloas, Jr. 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is very difficult for the charger to make contact when one attempts to plug it into the cigarette lighter & is easily displaced from this connection.
